Nightlife in Tenerife

With beautiful beaches, breathtaking sceneries, and a ridiculous variety of water sports, the entertainment of Tenerife awaits with open arms the enthusiastic visitors that come all year to enjoy the bustling energy this island exudes on every corner.

While the nights capture you with its sparkling dynamic, the days enthrall you with the most diversesettings of the Canary Islands; Tenerife shows off sights of steep forests, stunning beaches, snow-covered peaks and incredible cliffs. This island boasts clubs that open until as late as 4 am and clubs that swell with energy all day long. While the south of the island is infamous for its outrageous nightclubs, the north is best known for its exotic native cultural roots portrayed in its iconic concert halls and its tasteful theaters.

Despite this, the Carnival of the cosmopolitan Santa Cruz and the bustling, busy resorts of Puerto de la Cruz on the north make the paradise of any sleep-deprived night crawler; while the cultural concerts in Los Cristianos and Adejeare remain quite popular among its visitors.

Among the North’sprevalentclubs, Vampis, in Puerto de la Cruz, is well known for those with a taste for Spanish music. That being said, we’ll describe the most infamous locations for nightlife entertainment located in the south.

Tramps, located in Playa delas Americas Resort, is by far the most well-known club in the island, nonetheless, not the only one on this resort. Clubs are but a short walk away from each other and they offer entertainment to fit every taste and every budget. Here is where famous DJs from all over the world come to play. This extensive resort divides in three areas:
  • The Patch
  • Starco Commercial Center
  • Veronicas
The Veronicas is the most popular among the three.

Los Cristianos resort is for those that prefer a calmer atmosphere than the 24-hour party offered in Playa de las Americas. This resort is suitable for families and brags to have the most varied Bars and Tapas of the island.

Remember that tourists who visit these clubs are mainly Spanish, English and German, so you must master any of these languages if you want to interact with people visiting these clubs. Knowing the verbs is one of the most important steps you must learn. For example spanish conjugation is very similar to other languages of Latin origin such as Italian, Portuguese or German, but something more complex than with English.
